Student-led neuroscience
Curious aboutthe human brain.
Exploring cognition, memory and EEG through research and shared learning.
What we’re exploring
Cognition & memory
Exploring attention, cognitive load and memory encoding.
EEG & signal processing
Learning to process and interpret brain signals.
Learning together
Reading, discussing and taking part in EEG competitions.
Research in progress
Cognitive load & memory encoding
We’re designing a study with a professor to explore cognitive load and memory encoding using EEG signals. The study is being developed; findings will be shared when the research is ready.

About the group
Students learning about the brain, together.
Broccoli Brain Lab is a group of undergraduate students curious about the human brain. We’re learning about cognition, memory and EEG together.
We read cognitive neuroscience and mindfulness material, take part in EEG signal-processing competitions, and are designing research with a professor. Our direction is still open — we’re exploring, and shaping it as we learn.
Why broccoli? We chose the name because a head of broccoli, with its branching florets, resembles a brain.
The team
We’re a small group of undergraduates. Individual member introductions will be added here soon.
Notes
What we’re reading and discussing.
EEG interpretation
What brain signals can and can’t tell us, and how to read them carefully.
Memory encoding
How experiences become memories, and what shapes that process.
Attention
How we choose what to focus on, and how mental load affects it.
Mindfulness
Reading on mindfulness and how it relates to attention and cognition.
Published notes will be added here later.
